year.  Even so, things are pretty wind hammered and the snow can get thin in spots.  It's generally easy to avoid the rocks and stay afloat.  However, I found a couple thin spots part way down a tight I turned 30 last year and, ever since my 22nd birthday (which was an unmitigated disaster I don't care to relive), no birthday has given me pause.  I think I aged a bit going from 18 to 24, but have stayed about the same ever since--give or take a few gray hairs, of course.

One of the most ridiculous things about the Kenai is the combat fishing at the Russian.  [As always, click to enlarge].
It was like this for almost two miles on both banks.  Unbelievable.This is more my speed:

within a single species within a single water body.  Josh and I caught these two rainbow trout this afternoon within a couple hundred feet of one another.
