Karta, showing Evan and I the way up:

Evan, not afraid of refreezing sun-baked mush:
Karta and I pushed on past the rest of the crew to the saddle, eventually getting an up-close-and-personal view of the sheep from above and milking about 2,200 vertical feet out of the day:
It's been snowing off-and-on for the past week, and temperatures have been warming. We were skiing on 6-8 inches of fresh that had warmed up during the day and was started to refreeze as the evening wore on. Not bad, all and all. Of course, the sheep were a great bonus.

Ain't life grand! Reasonable snow, great views, fun wildlife, as well as family and friends. It had been awhile since the last time I logged on, but it looks like good things happening!
Cheers,
Cindy
P.S. Great drift boat, too!
Oh yea! Very nice all the way around. Actually looked like halfway decent down. And i am pretty sure i have never seen a sheep (dalls?) while skiing, ya know, which is nice. Glad to see you and nelli are still finding some snow to take advantage of. I will admit however, i am ready for it to warm up about 15 degree and really get after the fishing.
Enjoy it and looking forward to hearing how the boat preforms...
Josh
Yup, Dall sheep. They're all over, just not usually so close to town.
