Heading out the door
There is something quite satisfying about calling opposing counsel at 4:00 p.m. on the Friday before the Fourth of July weekend and informing her that, because of the mess her client created, you are in the process of filing an emergency temporary restraining order that she only has five days to respond to . . . then walking out the door to a weekend of fishing.

I suspect you had a particular kind of satisfaction in mind...dare we say making the call was "diabolically satisfying?" Hope the fish cooperated and you had a great 4th!

Diabolical might be a bit strong. But when it's either me or them unexpectedly working over the long weekend, I'll celebrate it not being me every time.
I am sooo glad you didn't have to work over the long weekend -- now if only we could find a few more fish:)
