Well, I've been outdone again. The Wife has been hitting the rivers pretty hard and had a good go of it yesterday. This is one of many:
Don't think I haven't been getting out, because I have. It's just that between The Wife's score yesterday and Adams from last week, I'm having a hard time competing. Time to step up my game.

Holy crap what a nice steelie! I just died a little inside! I guess it is that time of the season when i am forever jealous of my AK family. Way to get after it!

Steelhead? Rainbow? It's hard to tell. Unless proven otherwise, I'd guess this was just your garden variety resident rainbow...
I am pretty confident its just a rainbow...they migrate but just in and out of a lake. As far as ADF&G records go I don't think there are any steelhead...I could be wrong though:)
So, how's this for craziness: Sprout is about 16 inches long and about 3.5 pounds right now...and this fish definitely outsizes him or her!
"Garden variety" rainbow eh, yea you guys have a little different soil i guess! Regardless, that is a great O mykiss. Well done!
As for sprout, i dont think i have ever landed a 16" fish that was around 3.5lbs. It must also have some of that good soil to grow in!
Still cant get over that fish...

Nelli I think that fish might outsize Finn, at least by length, as Finn is 25 inches long and weighs in at about 12 pounds. .
As I am headed back out to BBay on Tuesday, I am hoping to get into these garden variety fish!
